Concept of Mrityu Bhaga
There was a request to write about Mrityu Bhaga.
Concept of Mrityu Bhaga can be easily understood from its polar opposite concept of Pushkara Bhaga (https://www.astrosaxena.com/pnpb).
Pushkara Bhaga is a concept where if a planet is placed at a specific degree in a specific sign then it is considered that it is all good and would give only auspicious results.
On the similar terms, Mrityu Bhaga is a concept where if a planet is placed at a specific degree in a specific sign then it is considered that it is a dead planet and can’t give any good results. Mrityu means Death and Bhaga means Portion. So, Mrityu Bhaga is a portion of Zodiac Sign where if a planet is placed then it is just like a dead planet.
Like, there are specific degrees for every planet placed in a specific sign which indicate that on those specific degrees, that planet is like a dead planet. Then these degrees are different for different planets in different signs. For example, Sun’s Mrityu Bhaga degree in Capricorn is 2 degree but Moon’s Mrityu Bhaga degree in Capricorn is 25 degree. Again, Saturn’s Mrityu Bhaga degree in Cancer is 9 degree but Jupiter’s Mrityu Bhaga degree in Cancer is 27 degree. (attached image has the Mrityu Bhaga Degree for all the planets and signs).
Now, my views ---
As always, everything is in addition. Just like a Planet cannot be all good just because it is at a specific degree which is known as Pushkara Bhaga. Likewise, a Planet cannot be actually dead because it is at a specific degree which is known as Mrityu Bhaga.
Actually, it boosts human ego when we declare a planet as a dead one. A Planet can never be a dead one for one reason or the other. They say that a planet in Mrityu Bhaga brings difficulties and miseries, this itself shows that planet is not dead. A dead thing neither can do good for you nor it can do bad for you. The fact that people accept that planets in Mrityu Bhaga can bring difficulties in life, this itself shows that planet is not dead. It may not be working as per your desires but it is still working.
And as always, nothing Bad can exist on its own. Its polar opposite Good has to be there. We just need an eye to see that Good and Bad together. Somehow I am unable to accept that if Jupiter is at 27 degree in Cancer then just because being at 27 degree, person won’t have any good result of Jupiter exalted in Cancer, likewise for other planets. Results and the quality of results largely depend on dignity of planets and as I always say, any planet in any position can give some good results and some bad results.
In my consultations, I may consider concept of Pushkar Bhaga or Mrityu Bhaga but my predictions would not be based on a planet at one specific degree. I would always look at the whole chart, dashas and transits to make any prediction.
Hope this helps. Thanks,
