A thing to remember here is that these posts are strictly meant for the particular planet position. Like, today we are looking at Mars in Cancer, so the description given here may change for you if your Mars is although in the sign of Cancer but with conjunction with or aspected by other planets.
So, lets see what Mars can do in Cancer without any conjunction or aspect from any other planet. 1st lets see what these 2 things represent --
Mars represents our will power, courage, ability to take actions, aggressive nature, anger, our fighting ability, brother, male friends, a boy friend for a girl, a soldier, an athlete and real estate etc.
Cancer is 4th sign of Zodiac Belt, hence it represents the things represented by 4th house like Mother, Mother's care, Emotions and Nourishment etc. Cancer is consisted of 2 and half Nakshatras namely Punarvasu, Pushyami and Ashlesha. Cancer's lord is Moon.
So 1st of all, when Mars comes in Cancer, it becomes debilitated at 27 degrees. It means Mars at 27 degrees Cancer is its weakest point. Why? Because in Astrology, Mars is our actions and Cancer is sign of Emotions. So, when Mars is in Cancer, majority of actions of person are emotionally driven. They take actions based on emotions, which is never a good idea.
Basically, this person doesn't know how to redirect the Mars aggressive energy in a positive way, at least in early life. These are those people who can get into physical violence in any fight. They don't think much before acting and they take their actions based on their emotional state at that time. Even when they are asked explanation regarding their actions taken in past, they will mostly give a very rude or aggressive reply. As Cancer also represents your home environment and relationship with mother, that also suffers due to Mars aggressive nature.
So is it always bad? In early life, it will create some problems due to aggressive behavior but as person learns from his mistake, in later life they are better equipped to deal with their basic nature.Â
Now, the question comes about the level of emotional actions a person may take? So, it again would depend on the Nakshatra Mars is sitting in. If Mars is in Punarvasu Nakshatra, then emotions will be directed by the condition of Jupiter in horoscope as Punarvasu's lord is Jupiter. If Mars is in Pushyami Nakshatra, then emotions will be directed by the condition of Saturn in horoscope as Pushyami's lord is Saturn. Again, If Mars is in Ashlesha Nakshatra, then emotions will be directed by the condition of Mercury in horoscope as Ashlesha's lord is Mercury.
Also, as Cancer is ruled by Moon, we need to look at Moon's position. Moon's position will actually determine that how Mars is going to behave in Cancer. Again, horoscope should be judged in its totality.
