Horoscope of Rajesh Khanna - Timing of rise in fortune or Bhagyodaya
After a very long time, let’s discuss a Celebrity Horoscope today; i.e. Horoscope of Late Rajesh Khanna ji.
As I normally cover Celebrity Horoscopes on a particular topic, let’s cover Rajesh Khanna ji’s chart on the topic of timing of great success. People normally talk about the golden period of life or timing of luck/fortune in life; I think Rajesh Khanna ji’s chart can be the best example for this topic.
So, let’s cover this analysis on the basis of following point –
Introduction of Chart – In case, anyone doesn’t know about Late Rajesh Khanna ji (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rajesh_Khanna) then he is considered as the first superstar of Indian Cinema. Lots of things are written about his extreme popularity but that is not the subject matter here for our analysis. As per the birth details available online, he was born on Dec 29, 1942, 17.45 pm at Amritsar, India. He was Gemini ascendant with Jupiter in 1st house/Gemini, Moon-Rahu in 3rd house/Leo, Mars in 6th house/Scorpio, Sun-Mercury-Venus in 7th house/Sagittarius, Ketu in 9th house/Aquarius and Saturn in 12th house/Taurus.
Rise in Popularity – Rajesh Khanna ji rose to fame with his first superhit movie Aradhana (1969) and then in next 3 years; i.e. till 1972, his 15 consecutive movies were superhit. So, 15 consecutive superhit movies within 3 years’ time period. This still remains the record which no superstar after him could break. This series of success itself shows that what type of fame and popularity he must be driving back then. So, we can easily say that it was his golden period or as they say; the time of luck/fortune or Bhagyodaya.
Now, let’s try to understand through astrology and through his chart as to how we can find the time of great fortune for anyone.
Concept of Bhagyodaya – A few years back, I wrote an article on the concept of Bhagyodaya - https://www.astrosaxena.com/articles/dkpb where I tried to connect Bhagyodaya with Dasha of 9th house as 9th house is the house of luck or fortune. Going through this article may help us in understanding this article.
Rajesh Khanna’s Chart, Dasha and Transits of 1969-1972 – Let’s see if this connection of 9th house with fortune/luck can be seen through his chart or not –
• In his chart, 3 planets in 7th house/Sagittarius of masses, 7th house/Sagittarius lord Jupiter in 1st house/Gemini, Parivartan Yoga between 1st lord/7th lord, Rahu-Moon in 3rd house/Leo and Rahu-Jupiter aspecting 7th house of masses were showing good potential for gaining mass fame. Now, person needs to work in that area of life which is indicating fame.
• Then he was in Rahu MD from 1964. Rahu is one of Karaka of worldly and mass fame. Rahu was also sitting in 3rd house/Leo/Magha with Moon which is sign of creativity, arts & movies etc.
• But the question comes that if Rahu MD was running from 1964 then why fame came only in 1969? Why he remained an unknown figure in Rahu-Rahu dasha and Rahu-Jupiter dasha? Obviously, he was in mid-20s and would have made his mind of following acting as career. Actually, he won the nationwide talent hunt organized by Filmfare Magazine in 1965. Still, the fame eluded him till 1969. Why?
• This is so interesting that his first superhit movie Aaradhana was released on 7th Nov, 1969 and his Rahu-Saturn dasha started on 17th Nov, 1969. Guess which house Rahu-Saturn co-rule in his chart? It is 9th house/Aquarius of luck, fortune or Bhagya.
• Then this Saturn AD continued till Sep, 1972 and one of the last of his 15 superhits Bawarchi was released in July, 1972.
• So, Rahu-Saturn dasha from 1969-1972 and activation of 9th house/Aquarius through it, is very much indicating the rise of fortune for him or Bhagyodaya.
• Then in transits between 1969-70, Rahu was in 9th house/Aquarius and Jupiter was in 5th house/Libra and they both were aspecting each other and impacting Dharma Houses (1st, 5th and 9th houses). This was also his Semi-Nodal return as Rahu was transiting over Ketu. This shows activation of 9th house/Aquarius in transits too. There was another joint impact between Jupiter-Saturn in 5th house/11th house axis. We will talk about Saturn impact here in fame a little later.
• So, this period of Rahu-Saturn dasha and Rahu-Jupiter mutual impact on 9th house kick-started his fame or fortune. As dasha continued the activation of 9th house/Aquarius, the fortune and luck continued till the period of dasha. His extreme success came down from late-1972 when dasha and transits both were not activating 9th house anymore.
• Now, the main question can come up as to how this person can have fortune with all malefic impacting 9th house by sitting there (Ketu), by ruling it (Rahu-Saturn) and by aspecting it (Saturn)? Also, how he can gain fortune when Saturn in transit was debilitated in 11th house/Aries?
• This is where again we see the relevance of the concept of Jeeva Karaka and Ajeeva Karaka - https://www.astrosaxena.com/articles/jkak. Fortune he received was in Ajeeva Karaka (Career, Fame) but Jeeva Karaka results might have been very different in his life.
• Also, Saturn’s involvement through chart, dasha and transits only show the importance of the hard work in gaining anything in life. Even now, a leading actor only does 1 or 2 movies maximum in an year. In this example of Rajesh Khanna ji, he was doing 15 movies in 3 years’ time. We can’t even imagine the kind of hard work he must have put in those 3 years which manifested in results.
• This is also a message to those who only rely on fortune or luck rather than hard work. No Pains, No Gains. There is no luck or fortune coming to a lazy person. Even if he gets millions in inheritance, he may end-up in wasting that due to his laziness.
• So, we can see the association of activation of 9th house in dasha and transit with rise of luck/fortune in life. I can also affirm that I had rise in my fortune when I started Jupiter MD and I started working in this profession of Astrology as per my chart position of Jupiter in 9th house/Cancer.
• Let’s finish this article with Rajesh Khanna ji’s words only –
