Sun represents King, Government, Father, Authority, Career, Top Positions, Ego, Self Esteem etc.
1st house/Ascendant is your self, personality, overall health, life path etc.
So, when Sun is in the 1st house, it can make a person very confident but at the same time very authoritative. They can be highly egoist. Wherever Sun is in your chart, that's where your ego is. He feels like King and he wants others to treat him like King. So, that's why this planetary placement is very common with people in high position or high ego. As Sun also represents father, this placement also shows that their life path is highly impacted by their father.
Also, as Sun's basic feature is fire and 1st house is Head, Sun here burns the hairs of person, i.e. they can also be bald.
As they are so much egoist type of, it is always better for them to have their own work because due to their ego, they can't work with others. In business also, they should not have partnerships, as partnership is about standing on equal grounds and these people due to their ego, want other partner to boost their ego.
With aspect of Sun on 7th house, same thing goes into their marriage, they try to dominate their partner through their ego which leads to ego battles in relationship.
All in all, their ego is their life lesson and they need to learn how to accommodate, adjust and be flexible in their approach towards others.
