Normally, it is like a ritual to study Rahu & Ketu together in birth chart or during transit, but I just had a thought of making separate articles for Rahu and Ketu each, just to have a detailed and descriptive look at both transits. We will also have separate transit articles for joint impact of Rahu-Saturn on Aquarius sign and Saturn-Ketu in Sagittarius sign from March, 2019 to Jan, 2020.

So, Rahu will transit into the sign of Gemini on March, 2019. So, let’s have a look at how this transit is going to impact Human Life on Earth on the basis of following points –

Transit Period – Rahu will move into Gemini on 23^rd March, 2019 and will stay there till 19^th Sep, 2020. So, it is transit of almost 18 months which is a good enough time to make some events happen in our life. Again, it is never 1 planet which causes the event. So, this article must be read with other updates on transits I timely post.

True Node Vs Mean Node – First of all, there are mainly 2 ways of calculating the transits of Rahu and Ketu. They are known as True Nodes and Mean Nodes. As per True Nodes calculations, Rahu and Ketu will change signs on 23^rd March, 2019 but as per Mean Nodes they will change signs on 7^th March, 2019. I am not going into debate of which one is more correct as the difference between the two is less than 1 degree. So, follow whichever fits your understanding. Rahu’s Last Transit – Let’s 1^st see how Rahu’s transit in Cancer manifested in last 18 months. Cancer is sign of emotions, nourishment, mother’s care etc. Rahu’s transit in Cancer has 1^st blown-out human emotions to extremes and then taught us how to balance those emotions and walk the middle path. This blowing-up of emotions took new heights with Jupiter transit in Scorpio from Oct, 2018 and Jupiter-Rahu mutual aspect. As both are expansive planets, emotional imbalance was on a high since then both at personal and global level. We have also seen the rise in inclination towards child birth through alternate ways. So, we can see that Rahu in Cancer had impact on us as it was supposed to be.

Now, Rahu, Gemini and Rahu in Gemini.

Rahu - Rahu represents illusion, foreign lands, foreign things, Drugs, Medicines, any type of intoxication, fame, wealth, success, obsession, past-life left-over karma, movies, television, online world, cheating, imagined fears, unusual things, unique things, creativity, rule breaker. Rahu also blows things out of proportions. 

During transit, Rahu is basically that obsessive energy which makes us gravitate towards the things related to house/sign where Rahu is transiting in next 18 months.

Gemini - Gemini is the 3rd sign of zodiac belt, so it represents many things related with 3rd house of horoscope like, Communication Skills (either written, oral or even by sign language), Marketing, Business etc. It is a sign basically related with communications and business ideas. Gemini is divided into 2 and half nakshatra of Mrigashira, Ardra and Punarvasu. Gemini's lord is Mercury, which is significator of Communications. 

Rahu in Gemini – So, now Rahu enters in Gemini. Gemini is ruled by Mercury and it is considered as a good sign for Rahu but as I understand Rahu is known to take up the qualities of any sign it is in and blow things out of proportion. So, now in Gemini, Rahu will take up the qualities of Gemini and then it will blow these qualities out of proportion. We can see the following results in general for everyone –

• As it is sign of business, entrepreneurship can be on a high during this transit and more people can be inclined to have their own business. New ideas of business and marketing will be on a high. 
• As it is sign of travelling and Rahu is foreign lands, inclination of visiting foreign lands will be high.
• People can be interested in unique skills, interests & hobbies and pursue them. People can be interested in learning foreign languages.
• Creative side of work like Movies, TV & other similar work of expression will see a new rise.
• New advanced ways of travelling, marketing and communications can be developed or invented during this time. People will be more inclined towards using alternate ways of communications.
• At the same time, as Rahu represents illusion and Gemini is sign of information, the biggest care we need to take in coming times is against false information and fake news. There will be so much information that it will be hard to know that which info is correct and which is not. Hence, we need to be very careful before believing any information. It can also lead people to talk unnecessarily.
• As Gemini is sign of sexuality too because of the symbolism of Man & Woman and Rahu is all about unusual-ness, we can see some big worldwide movement in favour of LGBT rights.
• So, all the representations of Gemini will see a big rise during this transit and it will be blown out of proportion when towards the end of the year, Jupiter comes in Sagittarius and aspects Rahu in Gemini. We will have similar joint impact of Rahu-Jupiter which we are having right now but in Gemini-Sagittarius axis. At that time, it may be difficult to handle the exploded results of Gemini due to 2 expansive planets’ impact.

House Co-ruled by Rahu – Rahu co-rules Aquarius sign with Saturn. So, whichever house of your chart has Aquarius sign, things related to that house will be manifested during this transit through the house where Gemini falls in your chart. But the actual event is based on chart + dasha + transit. So, just because of 1 transit, we can’t say that event is going to happen.

Rahu’s Natal Position – Rahu’s position in birth chart is very much important here. It will show the overall strength of Rahu in your chart. To know the real strength of Rahu, we need to also check the dignity of planets it is sitting with in birth chart and also the dignity of sign lord.

Dasha – As always, someone going through Rahu MD/AD will feel the full impact of transit. Others will also see some of the results as transit duration of 18 months is long enough to impact the human life.

Nodes Return – Those who are born with Rahu in Gemini in birth chart will also see full results, regardless of dasha, as it is an important transit of Rahu going over Rahu. Age of Individual – Results of malefic planets largely depend on the age of person as they become mild after attaining maturity age. Rahu’s maturity age is 42 years. So, if you are over 42 or close to 40, things can be beneficial for you. But as it is malefic planet by nature, even benefits will come after much hard work.

Planets in Gemini & Aquarius – Also, if you are born with planets in Gemini, you will see results of those planets too as Rahu transits over them. So, the things that planet is karaka and things related with houses that planet rules will be blown out of proportion. Likewise, as Rahu co-rules Aquarius, the results of any planet in Aquarius will also be impacted and will be manifested through Gemini and the house where Gemini falls.

Rahu’s Aspects – Besides transiting in Gemini, Rahu will also give results of the houses where it aspects through 5^th house and 9^th house. From Gemini, Rahu will aspect on Libra and Aquarius. • As Rahu moves backwards, Rahu is transiting over Punarvasu in Cancer right now and will continue this transit in Gemini, we will gain knowledge and wisdom. Some sort of hope and optimism will be back in life as Punarvasu literally means Return of Light. It can also mean that we may be desperate for optimism in this time. During this time, we will also see results of Jupiter and the house where Jupiter sits as Punarvasu is ruled by Jupiter.
