One thing we have to remember with posts related with Rahu through Signs is that Rahu converts himself as the lord of the sign it is sitting in and then amplifies quality of lord. Like, when Rahu is in Cancer, Rahu will take all the qualities of Moon (Lord of Cancer) and then will amplify those qualities out of limit. Rahu also does same to the planet it is sitting with. Like, if Rahu is with Saturn then it will take all the qualities of Saturn and blow them out of proportion during Rahu MD or Saturn MD. Another thing with Rahu is that recently I have come across of the view that Rahu and Ketu don't have aspects on 5th or 9th house, for the simple reason that they are shadow planets and for aspects you need a sight not shadow. I am yet to verify it on at least 50 charts, so for now I will continue with traditional approach of 5th and 9th aspects of Rahu. Ideal placement for Rahu is to sit with an exalted planet, then it takes all the qualities of the exalted planet and amplifies them.

So, when Rahu is in Cancer, it turns itself into Moon and explodes the qualities of Moon. It means these people become overly emotional and caring. They become overly protective of their home and children. Being emotional or caring is not wrong but the problem is with imbalance of emotions. They can be just too emotional towards others. In that, either other person can take benefits of their emotions or he can feel scared due to over protective nature of person. Either ways, it is a wrong thing. Their biggest lesson of life is to reach the balancing point of emotions. They need to strike the balance in matters of emotions. Also, they can be very emotional care taker. So, they can do really well in medical field. They have some emotional issues related to mother or from childhood.There are two ways to look at the results of all these acts. Now, the question comes about the level at which Rahu is going to give results. So, it again would depend on the Nakshatra Rahu is sitting in. If Rahu is in Punarvasu Nakshatra, then we have to look for Jupiter's position as Jupiter is Punarvasu's lord. If Rahu is in Pushyami Nakshatra, then we need to check Saturn's placement. Again, If Rahu is in Ashlesha Nakshatra, then it is impacted by Mercury as Nakshatra lord.

As discussed earlier, as Cancer is ruled by Moon, we need to look at Moon's position. Moon's position will actually determine that how Rahu is going to behave in Cancer. Again, horoscope should be judged in its totality.
