Rahu-Jupiter-Saturn JI on Aries and Leo, 2023-24
This year a rare combination will take place during transit for quite a long time which is worth mentioning as it involves 3 of the most important planets.
As we know that Rahu is already in Aries from April, 2022 to Oct, 2023.
Then, Jupiter will enter in Aries in April, 2023 and will stay there till April, 2024.
Jupiter will also join Rahu in Aries till Oct, 2023 when Rahu will shift in Pisces.
Now, it means that –
Rahu-Jupiter both will stay in Aries and Saturn will aspect Aries from Aquarius. So, Aries sign will be impacted by Rahu, Jupiter & Saturn till Oct, 2023 and by Jupiter & Saturn till April, 2024.
Likewise, Rahu-Jupiter-Saturn all from their respective positions (Aries and Aquarius) will aspect Leo sign; Rahu-Jupiter will aspect Leo through 5th aspect from Aries and Saturn will aspect Leo through 7th aspect from Aquarius.
So, Leo sign will also be impacted by Rahu, Jupiter & Saturn till Oct, 2023 and by Jupiter & Saturn till April, 2024.

So, let’s understand this joint impact of Rahu-Jupiter-Saturn on Aries and Leo signs.
Transit Period – As discussed, Aries sign will be impacted by Rahu, Jupiter & Saturn till Oct, 2023 and by Jupiter & Saturn till April, 2024. Leo sign will be impacted by Rahu, Jupiter & Saturn till Oct, 2023 and by Jupiter & Saturn till April, 2024.
Now, Rahu, Jupiter & Saturn and their joint impact.
Rahu - Rahu represents illusion, foreign lands, foreign things, Drugs, Medicines, any type of intoxication, fame, wealth, success, obsession, past-life left-over karma, movies, television, online world, cheating, imagined fears, unusual things, unique things, creativity, rule breaker. Rahu also blows things out of proportions. During transit, Rahu is basically that obsessive energy which makes us gravitate towards the things related to house/sign where Rahu is transiting in next 18 months.
Jupiter - Jupiter is the most benefic planet and it represents all the auspicious things like Knowledge, Wisdom, Law, Guru, Spirituality, Religion, Philosophy, Literature, Expansion of Things and Elderly People. For a girl, Jupiter also represents Husband.
Saturn - Saturn is all that which we don't like in our life. Saturn is Delay, Frustration, Restriction, Limitation and Anxiety. It is Hard-work and Labour. It is people of Authority, like Boss at your work place or Father at home. Saturn is Master and Servant both (depends on who uses Saturn in what way). Saturn is our Karmic Debt from life. Saturn is the things we didn't treat too well in our past life. Saturn is our challenges and biggest lessons of life. Saturn is Old-age, Teeth in human body, Diseases, Transformation etc. Saturn is Discipline, Organisation, Structure, Government, Law & Order etc.
Concept of Joint Impact - So, the concept goes like if while transiting 2 or 3 major planets are impacting one house/sign of a chart, then things related to that house/sign are more probable to happen. For Ex - If Jupiter is transiting through Cancer and Saturn is in Scorpio, then Jupiter-Saturn joint impact will be on Scorpio (as Saturn is sitting there and Jupiter has 5th house aspect there) and Capricorn (as Saturn has 3rd house aspect and Jupiter has 7th house aspect there). So, wherever Scorpio and Capricorn fall in your chart, things related to those houses are most probable to happen. It rarely happens that joint impact of 2 or 3 major planets doesn't work for someone.
Reason behind the Concept - A normal reason that is given for this concept is that Jupiter-Saturn are biggest planets in Solar System, hence their impact on a house/sign works in a given time. Valid argument to a great extent but there are few more reasons as I see. These are as follows -
Positioning of Jupiter & Saturn in Sky - If we see the positioning of Jupiter & Saturn in the Solar System, they are farthest away from Sun among all visible planets. Hence, their orbit of revolving around Sun is biggest. It also means that all other planets work under the orbit of Jupiter & Saturn. So, when these two are simultaneously indicating towards a portion of Sky (house/sign), then other planets are bound to follow the indication.
Joint Impact of Transiting Planets - Another way of saying same thing is that normally Jupiter-Saturn-Rahu transits are for a long period of time. So, their joint impact also lasts for a longer time. So, if Jupiter-Saturn-Rahu joint impact will be there for even 6-7 months on a house/sign then it is a good enough time window to predict the event as not only Jupiter-Saturn-Rahu are impacting the house/sign but in those 6-7 months, other planets like Sun-Moon-Mars-Mercury-Venus are also supposed to pass through same sign as they have smaller transits. So, at a given time, 3-4 planets can be impacting a house/sign, which makes it more probable that things related to that house/sign can manifest during the transit. So, it is joint collaboration of all transiting planets.
Duration of Joint Impact - Another important reason is, as I said, duration of transit. When planets are impacting a house/sign for a longer time of 6+ months, then possibilities are high to make a meaningful prediction. This is also the reason why predictions of negative events have more possibility of being successful than predictions of positive events. Negative Events depend on transits of malefic planets like Saturn/Rahu/Ketu/Mars. Except Mars, all other planets have longer transit time. Positive Events depend on transits of Jupiter-Venus-Mercury-Moon. Except Jupiter, all others have very short transit duration. As joint impact of Jupiiter-Saturn normally lasts for 6+months, there are more chances of things happening in this time frame. So, duration of transit plays an important role in manifestation of predictions.
Last but not the least, Saturn is the one which makes us do hard work and Jupiter is the one which provides the results. So, when Jupiter-Saturn both impact any house/sign during transit then it means that Saturn will make us put efforts related with that house and then Jupiter provides the results of that house. Like this, they work in tandem. We can say that if someone is ready to put his hard work and efforts in certain area of life, as per Saturn’s requirements, then he is supposed to get benefits of the same house.
So, these are the reasons why joint impact of major planets is almost certain to give us results.
Joint Impact of Rahu-Jupiter-Saturn – So, we can see the joint impact of Rahu-Jupiter-Saturn in following ways –
Rahu gravitates us towards the things related to house/sign where it transits. Jupiter is the most benefic planet and brings knowledge and awareness of the things related to the house or sign it transits into during the year. Then Rahu-Jupiter both are expansive planets and can raise the expectations or desires from the things related to the house/sign where it transits to a very high level.
Last but in no way the least, Saturn will be aspecting Rahu-Jupiter in Aries from Aquarius and they all (Rahu-Jupiter-Saturn) will be aspecting Leo sign from their respective positions; i.e. from Aquarius and Aries.
Needless to mention that it also creates a Guru Chandal Yoga in transit in 2023. This Yoga can be excellent for gaining knowledge and implementing your out-of-box thinking or ideas but person can be seen as very unconventional or weird-one. This Guru Chandal Yoga in transit can make people in general very unconventional or rebellious in their actions or behaviour. It reminds me that I started reading or listening to Osho during the last Rahu-Jupiter conjunction in transit in Leo in 2015-16 and from then onwards I followed a very unconventional path in my views and actions. So, this yoga can bring some unconventional approach to people.
Also, I took astrology as profession in 2015 when Rahu-Jupiter-Saturn all were impacting my 3rd house/Capricorn of self-efforts. So, history suggests that such transits have given or at least created situations for results.
Now, it is obvious that Rahu-Jupiter will make us gravitate or obsessed towards things of the house where they are transiting (Aries) and where they are aspecting (Leo & Sagittarius) but Saturn will put a block of delay, hard work and perseverance over the same houses (Aries and Leo) and results will be achieved after immense hard work. End result is obviously frustration because we want to achieve those things right now due to Rahu-Jupiter but unable to achieve due to Saturn. In the end, as always Saturn will win the battle and we have to bow down to Saturn, i.e. we will get results of the houses of Aries and Leo signs or of the houses where they fall in chart after great delay, hard work and perseverance. Also, the results can be very limited and reduced.
So, we have to follow the ways of Jupiter and Saturn to get any result. Jupiter is all knowledge and Saturn is all hard work. This shows that we should take right knowledge in dealing with Aries and Leo signs and then apply our Saturnine hard work in that direction.
It is Saturn’s 3rd aspect on Aries sign which is aspect of hard work and extra efforts. It is Saturn’s 7th aspect on Leo sign which is aspect of limitation. So, if we apply our hard work and efforts in right direction and keep expectations limited then Rahu-Jupiter conjunction can bring benefits to us.
We have discussed results of all other transits in various articles but to understand the final results, we have to keep the Saturn factor in mind that Saturn will make these results coming only when person is ready to put the best efforts over the longest period of time through Saturn’s 3rd aspect on Aries from Aquarius.
Similarly, in whichever house Leo falls, the results of that house will get reduced to minimum because in transit, Saturn will be aspecting Leo from their respective transiting signs. It kind of confirms that in most of next 12 months, we should expect very limited results of the things related with the house where Leo falls.
Dasha – As always, someone going through Rahu or Saturn MD/AD will feel the full impact of transit. Others will also see some of the results as transit duration of more than an year is long enough to impact the human life.
Age of Individual – Results of malefic planets largely depend on the age of person as they become mild after attaining maturity age. Rahu’s maturity age is 42 years. So, if you are over 42 or close to 40, you can still have mild impact of this transit. It is largely because you are used to such results in life.
Planets in Aries and Leo – Also, if you are born with planets in Aries and Leo, you will see results of those planets too as Rahu-Jupiter-Saturn will impact them. Again, end result will be of limitation and hard work related with those planets.
Jeeva Karaka & Ajeeva Karaka – As always, we have to remember that these very limited results with immense hard work will be more towards Jeeva Karakas, i.e. People, whereas we can still expect results of Ajeeva Karakas of the same house. But even those results of Ajeeva Karakas can only be achieved after immense hard work, delay and perseverance. So even there, things may not be easy to achieve. Now, we can see their impact ascendant-wise but as the signs getting impacted are all fire Signs, they will be activating a specific triangle in every chart, i.e. either Dharma or Artha or Kama or Moksha Triangle. So, if I describe it ascendant-wise, same things will be repeated for 3 ascendants as it will activate identical houses for those 3 ascendants. So, I chose to describe it element wise, i.e. Fire Signs as Ascendant, Earth Sign as Ascendant, Air Signs as Ascendant and Water Signs as Ascendant. So, here we go –

A Guru can come into life who can be a very unusual or controversial one. Time to take care of parent’s health. Travelling is a major possibility.
Earth Signs as Ascendant or Moon Sign – For Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn Ascendant or Moon Sign, Fire Signs fall in 4th house, 8th house and 12th house. This can be the time of going within and perform Meditation and other spiritual practices as this is Moksha Triangle, i.e. triangle of liberation. They can find themselves introvert & seeking themselves within. They can be very interested in digging deep into occult or hidden world and research as much as they can. They can be inclined towards spiritual activities too. They can be travelling to foreign lands or any spiritual places. They can come into contact of some spiritual or occult Guru. Other significances of Moksha Triangle like home, real estate matters, illness to mother, foreign companies or foreign people can also be seen as result but as Rahu-Jupiter combination is about knowledge and spirituality, their focus can be more on gaining knowledge or performing spiritual pursuits.
Air Signs as Ascendant or Moon Sign – For Gemini, Libra and Aquarius Ascendant or Moon Sign, Fire Signs fall in fall in 3rd house, 7th house and 11th house. This is Kama Triangle, i.e. the triangle of desires. They can be very desire oriented in this time. There can be an extreme desire to be in relationship. They would do anything possible to manifest their desires. They can be desirous of having more money too. This time can also push them to start their own business as all houses involved are related to business. If they are already in business or communication related work then they can expect good gains. As Rahu-Jupiter combination is knowledge oriented, they can be inclined towards knowledge or counselling related business. Their financial gains can go high as Rahu-Jupiter will impact 11th house, especially for Gemini ascendants, but in matters of relationship desires they have to be practical as no person can fulfil sky-high desires. Water Signs as Ascendant or Moon Sign – For Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces Ascendant or Moon Sign, Fire Signs fall in 2nd house, 6th house and 10th house. This is Artha Triangle. Artha can be termed as Money oriented triangle but more meaningful translation of Artha is Purpose. These are the houses of our purpose in life for which we are here. As normally we understand that to earn Money is our purpose, these houses became Money or Career oriented houses but they should be seen as houses of purpose. So, Rahu-Jupiter joint impact on these houses will make them Career or Wealth Oriented. It can bring rise in Career or Wealth matters but at the same time, these people can keep on thinking or working over their life purpose. That will become a focus point for 6 months. They can have some health issues to due to involvement of 6th house or they can be involved in some disputes or conflicts in this time. But going through all this, they can be focused at finding their life purpose and may like to educate themselves to find it.
Conclusion – This gives an indication that 2023-24 can be a year of frustration, limitations and hard work for majority of people due to these long term impacts of strong malefic planets on Aries and Leo signs, at least in area of life which these 2 signs represent in a particular chart. Just like any other malefic transit, the key to go through this one is also awareness, patience and perseverance.
