Spiritual Musings - 10 Life is Perfect

During study, teaching or consultations of astrology or any other occult science, concept of Karma is usually talked about. It is common to have a discussion that X person has Karma towards Y person or Y person carries a karmic debt towards X person.

As human mind loves to feel that it is running the show and everything is happening in Universe because of us humans only, we are bound to make this conclusion that we did something wrong against this or that person in our past-life and that’s why; we are facing troubles from that person.

I talked about this at some length in Spiritual Musings – 4 (https://www.astrosaxena.com/Musing4).I largely disagreed with this approach. At the cost of repetition, some of the main points from that article are extracted below –

• With every life, we create a pattern of life and with every next life, existence get us into situations where we can evolve from that pattern of previous life. So, I don’t follow that logic of we are suffering for the sins of our previous lives as it makes concept of God as retributive or revengeful God. I feel it as compassion of God that it is providing us opportunity after opportunity in lives after lives to improve upon ourselves and evolve into higher consciousness. 
• So, after living few lives on the basis of animalistic traits and behavior, Astral Mind desires to evolve further and live a much better life. As soon as Astral Mind desires, Universe provides opportunities in current or next lives to further evolve. 
• So, the circumstances or situations which we see as punishment by God to Human for his past-life karma are actually the compassion of God. By getting person into such situations or circumstances, God is giving an opportunity to person to evolve further. In every situation of life, we can either complain/keep grudges/resentments towards others or we can utilize the same situation to go inwards and work upon ourselves.
• If the person has projected his situations of life on others then he has wasted the opportunity. If the person has internalized the situations to understand self then he has utilized the opportunity.
• Worst waste of opportunity is when a person commits suicide. He has wasted the whole compassionate approach of God towards him. 
• But somehow God never loses hope in us. After wasting lives after lives, God is still willing to give us another chance, in hope that we will utilize this new opportunity in the best way possible.
• This is why I feel that God is compassionate and loving rather than retributive or revengeful. It will be great if we can accept him as such and best utilize the opportunity given. And if we are willing to evolve further and further then no doubt that one day same Astral Mind who lived life of a Criminal would also live life of an awakened one in some life.
• Hence, it is better to take your difficult relationship or any life situation as an opportunity to evolve further than to think that Universe is against you.

What I meant to convey here is that people you are surrounded-by in your life are very much needed for your evolution and likewise, you are very much necessary in their lives for their evolution.

Understand it like this; let’s say I am supposed to learn the trait of patience and calmness in this life.

Now, how can I learn to be patient, calm and peaceful?

For that to happen, it is important that I am surrounded by people in my life who are provocative and trying to bring anger in me time and again? Osho says that the right test of non-violent person is when he is armed with weapons and his unarmed biggest enemy is standing in front of him. At that time, if the person can practice peace or non-violence then only they can be considered as truly non-violent or peaceful person. Otherwise, just talking about peace or non-violence in Sunday Morning Meetings is not a big deal, anyone can do that.

Likewise, if X person is supposed to learn the lesson of being a gentle and caring person towards others then it is necessary that they should get such high power and authority which will entice them to control/dominate others. This will really test him and his approach towards power and authority; i.e. whether he wants to empower others through his authority/power or he wants to dominate/control through his authority/power?

This is what I am trying to convey that every single individual is perfectly placed in our lives and we are perfectly placed in others’ lives. Universe doesn’t create any mistake.

Even the most abusive person in your life is also teaching you the trait of patience and you are providing him the opportunity to decide whether to use his power to abuse others or care others.

So, if you have difficult planetary placements in your 10^th house then it doesn’t mean that you did something wrong against your Father in past-lives and that’s why you are suffering in that relation with him. Rather, it shows that you and your Father both need to learn some lessons and evolve through this relation and you both are just playing your respective roles in this life.

This is why; they even say that we can even be thankful to person who is not treating us well because he is giving you the opportunity to evolve.
