Moon - Masculine or Feminine?

So, common knowledge is that Moon is a Female Planet. But then we have just gone through a Nakshatra Series in which we came to know that Moon was married to these 27 Sisters or 27 Nakshatras. So, it should give a confusion whether Moon is Male or Female Planet?

As I understand, and it is totally my interpretation which can be wrong, that when we say Moon is a female planet then it is not about the Gender of Moon but Feminine Qualities of Moon like nurturing, caring and motherly nature.

Take an opposite example to understand that if a Girl is Tomboyish in her looks or behavior then she remains a female with certain Masculine Qualities in her nature. Likewise, Moon is basically a male but due to the abundance of Feminine Qualities, Moon is considered a Feminine Planet. Like if a Guy exhibits qualities like loving, caring and nurturing towards others then he can be considered as a Man with Feminine Qualities.
