Matru Karaka - It is planet with the 4th highest degree. It is known as Matru Karaka or Significator of Mother. This planet and its position in chart will indicate towards your relation with your Mother. It can also be seen for things like Property and Vehicles as Mother, Property and Vehicles all relate to 4th house. 


Results of Mercury as Matru Karaka - As I see, following results can be prominent when Mercury becomes someone’s Matru Karaka -


1.Mercury is a playful non-serious planet. Mercury is curious about many things at one time. This is Mercury’s drawback too as Mercury is unable to focus on one thing. Mercury is smart, clever, cunning at times. Mercury is our intellect and decision making skills. Mercury is one of the energy which we use in every single activity.


2.So, when Mercury is someone’s Matru Karaka, it shows that person may have desire of a highly communicative relationship with Mother. They may also like to have a communicative home environment. Relationship with Mother can be very friendly or home environment can be very light, playful and non-serious.


3.It can also mean that Mother may be a communicative person or a business person.


4.Mercury as Matru Karaka shows prominently that person can be in any business related with Land, Real Estate, Architecture or Interior Designing.


5.This also shows someone who nourishes their siblings or friends like a Mother.


6. It also shows someone who can counsel, communicate or interact in a very motherly way and there is a nourishment to others in the way they talk.

Like, for a Gemini ascendant, if Mercury is in 9th house/Aquarius then native can be very motherly and nourishing through their teachings. But for Virgo ascendant person, if Mercury is placed in 6th house/Aquarius then person can be very nourishing and caring through his entrepreneurship.
