Virgo - As Hasta is a part of Virgo, Virgo sign and its representations also become important. Virgo is the 6th sign of zodiac belt, hence it represents almost all the things which are represented by the 6th house of horoscope like Debts, Diseases, Obstacles, Serving the under-privileged, Service Life, etc. Besides this, Virgo represents analytical or critical nature of people, being perfectionist and healing abilities. Virgo's basic representation is the lady coming in boat with wheat and herbs in her hands. So, Virgo is basically a sign of healing. Virgo consists of next set of 2 and half nakshatra. i.e. Uttara-Phalguni, Hasta and Chitra. Virgo's lord is Mercury.

Common theme with Hasta and Virgo is health-care. As Jupiter is guide/teacher/counsellor, this position easily shows someone who counsels or guides people in health related issues. It can show a Doctor or Health Consultant. It can also show a teacher or professor in medical colleges or someone sharing his knowledge on health-care with others. At the same time, Hasta is represented by Hands and it is closest nakshatra to Reiki Healing. It shows someone who is a Reiki Healer or Reiki Teacher. This portion of Virgo also represents very hard working people and Jupiter is going to expand a person's ability to work hard over his chosen field. So, this can be an excellent position for someone to be a healer or teacher in health-care.
Again, in relationship matters, this position can have its challenges. As we are in the middle portion of Virgo, it shows that person's ability to criticize others can expand with presence of Jupiter here. Also, the symbolism of Hand represents controlling or capturing nature of a person. Jupiter can expand that insecurity too and person can be very controlling or dominating in relationship which may lead to conflicts and disputes in relationship.
