Counterparts Series - Virgo-Pisces Axis

Now the last one in series of articles on Zodiac Signs Counterparts, let’s look at how Virgo and Pisces Zodiac Signs complete or supplement each other.

Pisces - As Pisces is the 12th sign of zodiac belt, it represents the same energy and things which are represented by 12th house such as Isolated Places, Spirituality, Imagination, Other Dimension or Other World etc. Besides these things, it also represents your Hidden Talents, Ability to work in background, Spiritual Self etc. Pisces is consisted of last 2 and half nakshatra, i.e. Purva-Bhadrapada, Uttara-Bhadrapada & Revati. Pisces' lord is Jupiter.

Simple reason is that even empty houses represent an area of our life where we need to find the balance.

So, here is my understanding of Virgo-Pisces counterparts –

From Virgo to Pisces -

Virgo – As we know that it is sign of perfection, analysis and details. So, Virgo energy can represent a person who is seeking perfection in almost everything in life. There is nothing wrong if I am seeking perfection from myself and continuously working on myself but misuse of Virgo energy happens when I start seeking that perfection from others in their life. This can make Virgo sign or Virgo person a very unpopular among others.

So, wherever Virgo falls in our chart, we can be expecting too much perfection from that house related things or people. We can be trying our best to reach that perfection through our efforts because person feels that if I put the best efforts or improved efforts then I will get perfect results in life. It means that person somehow feels that results are under his power or capacity but in doing so he is missing a major factor; i.e. Divine Intervention or Pisces Energy.

He is forgetting that every event in life depends on 1000s of collateral events and we are nothing but waves in the ocean which won’t be able to control ocean’s ways of functioning. So, to find peace a Virgo person has to look at opposite sign Pisces as the guidance is coming from there.

Pisces – It is a sign of Spirituality, Imagination, Divine and letting-go of efforts. Pisces-end tells us that our actions are important but God’s Will is more important. It is important to put your efforts and actions with utmost sincerity to let the existence know that what you actually want in life but you can’t put any conditions to the existence that it is bound to give you this or that results. There are 8 billion people on this Globe right now and if everyone’s life starts moving as per their wishes then we will have complete chaos. So, after putting our best efforts, we just need to let existence decide what is good for us and what not?

So, a Virgo person needs to learn to surrender to the divine after making his efforts. This is where the energy will be balanced.

From Pisces to Virgo -

Pisces - But then again, extremes of any energy can be difficult to handle. The biggest drawback of Pisces energy is that person can be too dreamy or imaginative and living in his own Dream World. Now, this is going to be an important part of this article –

Problem with a person who has lots of Pisces energy in chart or while dealing with things or people related with house wherever Pisces sign falls in chart, is that he feels that everything will be taken care automatically and he needs not to put ANY effort. He says that anyways when end results are coming as per Divine’s Will then what is the need to put ANY effort at all.

Understand that Destiny or Destined Results is concept of Surrender but it is utilized by the laziest people of the world. They say that when everything is destined then what is the need for efforts? They never accept that even putting efforts is also a part of Destiny.

Virgo – This is again Virgo brings the guidance to the person with this practical approach that none knows whose destiny is what? So, in ignorance of our destined results, we need to put our best efforts to hope for some results coming our way. So, a Pisces person needs to learn about practicalities of life and be realistic in life. He needs to realize that Pisces is sign of “letting-go of efforts and surrendering to Divine” but only that person can let-go of efforts who first puts any effort at all. Without putting any effort, how can we even think of letting-go of efforts.

This is important thing to understand as it is normally misunderstood from spiritual talks or sermons from Gurus.

Recently, a 18-19 year old girl told me during consultation that she wants to let-go of everything?

I asked her, And what exactly you have with you on your own to let-go, except whatever is given by your parents?

Then she said, ohh I want to leave the World and go to a Spiritual Ashram?

I replied, well that Spiritual Ashram is also inside World only and actually there is no practical way to leave this World. Wherever you go, World will be there. We are forced to live, face and deal with this world and grow with it.

Even in Spiritual World, if a Guru is telling that nothing will happen by going to temple then he is telling this to that person who is going to temple, so that he can go beyond that stage. He is not telling this to person who has never gone to temple.

If a Guru is telling that nothing will happen by reading scriptures then he is telling this to that person who is reading scriptures, so that he can go beyond that stage. He is not telling this to person who has never read any scripture.

If a Guru is telling that nothing will happen by accepting someone as Guru then he is telling this to that person who has bowed down to a Guru, so that he can go beyond that stage. He is not telling this to person who has never bowed down to anyone.

If a Guru is telling that nothing will happen through Meditation then he is telling this to that person who is regularly doing Meditation, so that he can go beyond that stage too. He is not telling this to person who has never Meditated in his life.

The main purpose everywhere is that a person should not become stagnant pond of water at one place. He should remain a flowing river and his journey should continue.

As I see, the real problem is that people directly want to jump into spirituality without facing any challenge in life. They say that anyways when we have to leave everything for spirituality in the end then why not jump into spirituality directly? Why I need to face materialistic life (Virgo) and then move into Spirituality (Pisces).

This sounds logical but it is not. It is like telling as to why I need to board a train at Source station when I need to leave the same train at Destination station?

Well, it is because the stations will change in the meanwhile. With every experience or challenge of life and with every success/failure of life, we get prepared for our spiritual journey. At right time, we realize the futility of materialism but only that person can realize it and truly move towards spirituality who has achieved the materialistic life and grew along with it.

Conclusion – In Jim Carrey words – “I think everybody should get rich and famous and do everything they ever dreamed of so they can see that it's not the answer”. So, to realize the true significance of Pisces in life, first we need to excel Virgo.
