CS-Purva Palguni-Shatabhishak-Purva Bhadra
This is next article in Counterparts Series for
Nakshatras. As we have seen in Counterparts Series so far - https://www.astrosaxena.com/SignNakshatraCounter,
every Zodiac Sign completes or supplements the zodiac Sign in front of it
through some guidance, directions or indication. If it is happening
consistently for all Zodiac Signs then the same can be happening for Nakshatras
too; i.e. Nakshatras in front of each other can also complete/supplement each
other and can provide some guidance, direction or indication to us to deal with
their energy in more creative ways.
So, let’s understand the next set of Nakshatras
which are in front of each other; i.e. Purva Phalguni, Shatabhishak and Purva
Bhadrapada.
Purva Phalguni – Purva Phalguni
Nakshatra spreads from 13.20 degree to 26.40 degree of Leo. Purva Phalguni is
nakshatra of Luxury, Wealth and Lavish Life. It is also nakshatra of creative
pursuits and love/romance. For detailed information, please check this -

Shatabhishak Nakshatra - Shatabhishak
Nakshatra is from 6.40 degrees to 20.00 degrees
of Aquarius. So, Shatabhishak Nakshatra is in front of Purva
Phalguni Nakshatra from 13.20 degrees to 20.00 degree of Aquarius It is a
nakshatra related with healing and health care. It is related with serving
humanity or higher cause. Please check this link for more info on Shatabhishak
Nakshatra - https://www.astrosaxena.com/shatanaksh.
Purva Bhadrapada Nakshatra – Purva Bhadrapada is from 20.00 degrees of
Aquarius to 3.20 degrees of Pisces. It is a nakshatra related with mystical
events and experiences. It is also nakshatra of duality. Please check this link

As we have always seen that mythological stories always play an
important role in interpretation of Nakshatras, so it will be worthy to
reproduce the mythological stories of Magha Nakshatra, Dhanishtha Nakshatra and Shatabhishak Nakshatra here –
Purva Phalguni Nakshatra - The main story
related with Purva-Phalguni is about worshipping of Shiva-Lingam which is
considered as Cosmic-Pillar keeping the balance of Universe as per Linga
Purana, one of the 18 Mahapuranas. It is when the 7 Sages were visited by Lord
Shiva in naked form and the Womenfolks of Ashram got scared by looking at his
Lingam. 7 Sages got angry and cursed that his Lingam may fall-off. Shiva
knowing what would be the end result, still accepted the wish of 7 Sages and
agreed that his Lingam may be castrated. At the same moment, the balance of
Universe was disturbed and Lord Brahma had to intervene. He ordered the 7 sages
to immediately worship the castrated Lingam. 7 Sages did that. Lord Shiva got
pleased by their devotion and Universe found its balance again.
My interpretation of this metaphor - https://www.astrosaxena.com/UTMPP.
Shathabhishak Nakshatra - As Rahu is becoming
prominent for this nakshatra because it is Nakshatra Lord and Sign Lord, the
mythological story of Rahu-Ketu coming into existence from the divine disc of
Lord Vishnu can be linked here. Also, Rahu her works for humanitarian purposes
as Shatabhishak and Aquarius both represent the same. So, it is not a demonic
energy here. Mythological Link of this Nakshatra is also established with many
of characters of Ramayana as characters like Ram, Sita, Lakshman, Urmila,
Bharat & Mandvi never needed to sacrifice their lives like they did in
Ramayana but this is the nature of Shatabhishak Nakshatra, i.e. to live life
for others.
Purva Bhadrapada Nakshatra - As we are in the
final portion of Nakshatra scheme and dealing with last 3 nakshatra, things
connected with these nakshatras are spiritual and more connected with
liberation rather than mythological texts. We can see that symbol of
"Front Part of Funeral Pyre" and A Goat, which is commonly used for
Sacrificial Rites, are very much indicative of liberation path. So, any story
related with final liberation of soul can be connected with this nakshatra.
Now, let’s understand the axis of Purva Phalguni,
Shatabhishak and Purva Bhadrapada.
Purva Phalguni Nakshatra – As we can see from
the pictorial representation, metaphor and interpretation of the metaphor,
Purva Phalguni is nakshatra related to luxury, love-romance, indulgence,
comfort zone and wealth etc. Its representation of front leg of cot is
indicative of someone going to take rest or going to have a relax time.
But again, anything that is explored beyond
limitation is dangerous. When pleasure crosses the limits, it becomes
indulgence. When desire of money crosses the limit, it becomes greed. Life is
name of Balance or Balancing Energies.
So, we need to see from where we can find the
balance for this over-indulgent trait of Purva-Phalguni.
This is where again the guidance is coming from
180 degree faraway.
It is interesting that Zodiac Sign falling in
front of Purva-Phalguni is Aquarius. It is a sign of serving humanity and
serving them without any selfish needs. As Purva-Phalguni is part of Leo sign which is
5th sign represents 5th house energy of happiness, it
shows that real happiness can be gained by devoting yourself to the service of
others.
Shatabhishak is anyways the nakshatra of Healers as Shatabhishak
literally means 100 Healers of God. Shatabhishak manifests the Serving Humanity
trait of Aquarius as it falls in middle of Aquarius. So, it is nakshatra of
healing and serving others. So, this is another indication as to how we can get
long lasting happiness.
Again, if we are not so close towards each
other, as we are right now, we can surely see the validity of this statement
that real happiness is in serving others.
Another Nakshatra Purva Bhadrapada is related with our initial interest
in Spirituality and Spiritual Practices. It shows that not only serving others
but spiritual practices can also balance out this energy and we can avoid
over-indulgence of any kind. Spiritual Practices like Yoga, Meditation and even
Guru’s guidance should be enough to keep a person right on track. Meditation,
Yoga and other spiritual practices bring awareness to the person and if a
person is aware and conscious of his actions then nothing wrong can happen. We
can cross limits and go in wrong directions only when we are unconscious of our
actions.
Just try this one experiment at any point of time. Be 100% conscious of
your actions for an hour and you will see that automatically your quality of
actions is improving. Knowingly, we cannot do anything wrong. All wrong actions
happen in unconscious mode.
Conclusion – So, this axis between Purva Phalguni, Shatabhishak and Purva Bhadrapada is also teaching us to balance the energy and this time we are supposed to balance between materialism and spirituality.
Hope this helps.
