Be Unpredictable

In astrological world, there is a lot of emphasis on the point whether predictions are coming true or not. I have always kept the view that predictions are not humanly possible and it is actually not the main purpose of astrology. I have said the same thing from my posts/articles and through quotes of Osho many a times. I have always kept the view that main purpose of astrology is helping us to evolve. It is a tool of evolution for us - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EdSY05rz2_U . An astrological consultation should ideally guide me towards my highest potential and then I should work towards the same.

But then we see that many a times predictions do come true. Then how those predictions are coming true? Let’s try to understand it here.

Suppose there is a person practicing as an Astrologer and an Indian Girl or Boy of 25 years of age comes to him and requests him to make some predictions for them for next 2-3 years then what predictions this astrologer will be making?

I am sure that 90% of you will agree that he will talk about getting a job, career and marriage. If they are closer to 30-year age mark then he may even bring Child Birth in picture.

Now, tell me which tool he needs to make these predictions? Any Astrologer working in India or with Indian Subcontinent people can make these predictions without even looking at any chart.

What it shows or means?

It only means that majority of people are living life at a very mundane or basic level and it is very easy to predict that basic event which is anyways everyone is looking-for. So, if a person is functioning at a very basic level with very basic desires and if an astrologer is able to predict future events for him and then if those predicted future events also came true then rather than getting impressed by the astrologer, the person should reflect back and realize that he/she is functioning at such basic level that anyone can predict his future life events.

It is a matter of shame for human consciousness that we have become so predictable. As Osho says, predictions are only possible for machines. So, if an astrologer is able to predict a future event for you then understand that you have become too predictable which is a matter of shame for human consciousness rather than feeling impressed by that astrologer.

Now, take a polar opposite example. This time this 25-year-old boy or girl comes to an astrologer and asks whether they should follow Advaita Philosophy or Samkhya Philosophy?

I am sure that this time 90% of astrologers will be left bewildered as they were not expecting such a question from someone in mid-20s. Now, it will be the real test of this astrologer to guide this person.

 Tamasic Astrologer making a prediction and Tamasic Client is working on it (90% times). Or

 Rajasic Astrologer making a prediction and Rajasic Client is working on it (9% times). Or

 Satvic Astrologer making a prediction and Satvic Client is working on it (1% times).

Now, there is not much problems with Rajasic and Satvic predictions coming true but issue is with Tamasic (the basic) level prediction coming true. It shows people are functioning at very base level and interested in only doing base level activities.

In this case, we can say that human consciousness is functioning like a machine which can be the worst-case scenario. Hence, we can say that the first task for human consciousness is to become unpredictable. As Osho says, “Be unpredictable and be ever-changing. Never stop changing and never stop being unpredictable, and only then can life be a joy.”

Whenever you visit an astrologer next time, ask astrologer as to what you should be doing to manifest the highest purpose of your chart rather than being happy with some basic mundane predictions of life.

I agree that there are times in life when basic survival is the need of hour but once your life is little more settled always go for your highest potential as per chart.

There is another way by which prediction can be coming true but we don’t appreciate it that much as it is not as per our desires.
For us, prediction coming true means that event got manifested as predicted.

But what if an astrologer has predicted an event may not be manifested during a certain time and it doesn’t get manifested as he predicted. Is it not a correct prediction too?

Like, in our earlier example only, this boy or girl of 25 years of age is asking for relationship/marriage timing and astrologer telling them that he doesn’t see any substantial possibility of relationship in coming couple of years and then despite them trying their best for relationship, nothing manifests. Is it not a right prediction? Shouldn’t astrologer get the credit of making a right prediction?

But for majority of us, right prediction means the manifestation of an event rather than non-manifestation of any event.

Anyways, the main purpose of writing this article was that prediction coming out true is not a matter of rejoicing but a matter of shame for human consciousness, especially when the prediction was at Tamasic/Basic level.

Try to look at higher potentials of chart (at Rajasic and at Satvic level) and try to be as unpredictable as you can be.
