How to predict an event astrologically?
There was one request to write an article on how to predict an event through astrological chart? So, let’s cover this topic today.
Nature of Event – First of all, we should know which event we are looking to predict through an astrological chart? It is because every event would need activation of different houses, different planets and different dashas. We can’t make a generic rule. Hence, we will try to understand this through a few examples of events. Let’s first understand the theory.
Promise of Event in Chart – First of all, it i important to see if the event which we are looking for, is allowed or promised in person’s chart or not. Like, if we are looking for relationship timing for a person then first of all, the person’s chart should allow or promise a possibility of relationship. If there is a denial of relationship in person’s chart then dasha/transit will come & go and they may give other results related with same houses or planets but relationship may not happen. Ideally, such a person shouldn’t look for relationship but if they look for relationship anyhow then they may end-up in a troublesome or abusive relationship with a wrong person which is again an indication from Universe that relationship is something which would be troublesome for then and hence, they should focus on other activities in life. Similarly, if Saturn is impacting relationship then they should delay the relationship till they attend a sort of maturity in understanding. If such a person gets into relationship in early life then again there can be lots of issues.
Likewise, suppose someone is looking for event of acquiring real estate properties then first of all, we should see there is a promise in chart of that person to buy a property. If person’s property related houses and planets are not well-placed in chart then ideally he should avoid having property in his own name else it may land into any dispute/conflicts. Such a person should ideally buy properties in family member’s name but if he is desperate to have a property on own name then he should buy in joint name or in apartment system.
So, first task is to see whether chart is even promising the event which we are trying to predict.
Important Houses and Planets – Now, if chart is promising the event then we need to take into consideration the houses and planets which are important to bring that event. For example –
If we are looking for timing of person’s relationship then 5th house (love/romance/dating), 7th house (committed relationship), 8th house (relationship benefits), 11th house (manifestation of desires) and their lords are important. Among planets Moon, Jupiter and Venus are important. Along with that look at Darakaraka, the planet with the lowest degree in chart besides Rahu and Ketu.
Planetary Dashas – After knowing the important houses and planets, we need to see when these houses or planets will get activated during planetary dashas. Again, there are at least 300 types of Dasha Systems, i prefer Vimshottari Dasha as it has worked well for me. We should mainly see the Mahadasha and Antardasha which activates the houses or planets that are important for bringing that particular event. So, for relationship matters, Mahadasha and Antardasha of 5th house, 7th house, 8th house, 11th house and their lords plus Moon, Jupiter, Venus and Darakaraka are important. These dashas can bring an event of relationship or alliance to the person.
This will give us a broader time-range (of about 1-2 years) for possibility of manifestation of an event.
Annual Transits of Planets – After getting the bigger time window, now we need to see the annual transits of planets. If during annual transits of planets, majority of planets are impacting relationship oriented houses/planets, as discussed above, then we can say that event can actually happen during that particular transit of about 6-8 months’ time. While looking at transits, we need to give more importance to the transit of Saturn, Jupiter, Nodes and Dasha Planets. We also need to pay attention to any joint impact created by two planets during transits. That can promise the event more potentially if that is impacting important houses or planets.
Like this, an event is actually the result of Promise of Event in Birth Chart + Dashas activating the possibility of event by activating important houses/planets + Annual Transits impacting the same important houses/planets.
Examples – Let’s take 2 examples here –
Relationship –
1. First check the possibility of relationship in birth chart.
2. Important houses for relationship are 5th house (love/romance/dating), 7th house (committed relationship), 8th house (relationship benefits), 11th house (manifestation of desires) and their lords are important. Important planets are Moon, Jupiter and Venus. Along with that look at Darakaraka, the planet with the lowest degree in chart besides Rahu and Ketu.
3. Look at the Mahadasha/Antardasha of Planets/houses/house lords which activate the possibilities of relationship in chart.
4. Finally, look at the annual transits of Saturn, Jupiter, Nodes and Dasha Planets. If they are impacting same houses/house lords/planets then possibility of event is more potential.
Job Change –
1. First check the possibility of happiness in job setup career. If it is not there, then no matter how many jobs person changes, he will not be happy. Then he should think of doing his own work.
2. Important houses for job change are 10th house (job setup career) 5th house (change in work place), 7th house (Bhavat Bhavam of 10th house), 8th house (major changes in life), 9th house (resignation/firing/lay-offs), 6th house (daily work life) and their lords are important. Important planets are Sun and Saturn.
3. Look at the Mahadasha/Antardasha of Planets/houses/house lords which activate the possibilities of changes in job in chart.
4. Finally, look at the annual transits of Saturn, Jupiter, Nodes and Dasha Planets. If they are impacting same houses/house lords/planets then possibility of event is more potential.
Hope this helps. Thanks,
