Mercury - Mercury represents communication skills, marketing, calculative ability, younger siblings, hobbies, skills with hands, intelligence, quick decision making, logical thinking, youthfulness etc.


Dara Karaka - It is planet with the 7th highest degree. It is known as Dara Karaka or Significator of Spouse. This planet and its position in chart will indicate towards your Spouse and relation with your Spouse. 


Results of Mercury as Dara Karaka - As I see, following results can be prominent when Mercury becomes someone’s Dara Karaka -


1.Mercury is a playful non-serious planet. Mercury is curious about many things at one time. This is Mercury’s drawback too as Mercury is unable to focus on one thing. Mercury is smart, clever, cunning at times. Mercury is our intellect and decision making skills. Mercury is one of the energy which we use in every single activity.


2.So, when someone has Mercury as Dara Karaka, it shows that communication is foundational stone of their relationship. If communications are not effective, their relationship cannot sustain. It also shows the desire of a very communicative partner.


3.It can show someone very playful in relationship matters. This can also be a non-serious person who moves on from one partner to another without much issues.


4.It can also show someone who is having business with their relationship partner or their relationship partner can be a business person.


5.It can also manifest that person is in any business related to marriage and relationship. It can very easily indicate a relationship counsellor.


6.It can indicate a very shrewed or clever business person.

Like, for a Capricorn ascendant, if Mercury is in 6th house/Gemini then native can be helping people in relationship conflicts or have relationship conflicts of their own. But for Cancer ascendant person, if Mercury is placed in 2nd House/Leo then person can be in a creative business with their relationship partner.
